13. Isai Cooloori Music College (8.31.2008)

A visit to Madurai’s local music college. Genuine embarrassment to this day that I didn’t belt out “Changes” or “Happiness is a Warm Gun” when asked for a performance by the Indian students, who somehow heard/wanted to hear I “was a singer” via a whispered conversation with an Indian girl.

20. Fury (11.12.2008)

While consumed with research for my ethnographic paper (Which is online. And posted under “ethnography.”), I didn’t have much time for reflection in my journal. However, after the state elections, I was enraged by the passing of Proposition 8. Though I contemplated buying a rifle and learning to use it, or threatening some senators and others, I wrote this thoughtful rant instead.

24. Exit (12.10.2008)

My final entry about living in India. Reflections on existence as Westerners in a very different culture and perception in general. Small overview of my first time riding a motorcycle.
